Materials & sourcing
Komfort is on a journey to lower the embodied carbon of our products. We work with our supply chain to source responsibly across every material category.
Aluminium
Our highest-volume material. Sourced from Malaysia (75%), the UK (20%) and Spain (5%). Malaysia is our route to Low Carbon aluminium — in 2026 we expect a significant proportion of this volume to arrive as Low Carbon. We continue to challenge our supply chain on raw-material origin and processing.
Glass
UK-sourced, currently around 20–30% recycled content. A "Low Carbon" glass offering becomes available from summer 2026; we'll be moving to it as supply allows.
Plastics, rubbers, and timber
UK-sourced. We continue to engage our supply chain on raw-material origin and processing improvements to reduce embodied carbon across these material families.
